Why Us

CTRL-S is built on three decades of real-world delivery, leadership continuity, and a heritage rooted in professional services excellence. Learn more about how we got here.

Take your pick…

Originally established as Hallidays IT, our business was created as the dedicated technology service arm of accountancy firm Hallidays. Our purpose was simple but powerful: ensure clients, and Hallidays itself, had access to reliable, strategic, business-aligned technology support delivered with the same professionalism and accountability as financial or advisory services.

While our business has rebranded as CTRL-S, its core philosophy and leadership have remained constant. The same team that started the organisation continue to guide it today, ensuring continuity of vision, culture, and standards, consistency that is rare in the technology sector and underpins the long-term relationships we have built with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and accountancy firms across the UK.

From day one, our focus has never been “IT for IT’s sake.” Instead, CTRL-S was built on the belief that technology should enable business outcomes, improving control, clarity, and performance rather than creating cost, risk, or complexity. This philosophy still defines how our business operates today – technology is a strategic asset not a reactive support function.

Today we combine enterprise-grade thought leadership with SME-focused delivery. Our approach ensures every technology decision starts with business objectives first, systems second, turning IT from a cost to your business into a catalyst for your success. Our clients benefit from proactive governance, transparent fixed pricing, and technology environments designed to prevent problems, not just respond to them.

Thirty years of continuous operation, a client base built on trust and outcomes, a net promoter score of 100 (which means every one of our clients would recommend us) and leadership that has remained consistent from inception to today. For you that means clear direction, familiar faces, and standards that don’t slip.  CTRL-S doesn’t just support businesses. We give them control over their technology, confidence in their data, and the clarity to move forward faster.

Call us and we’ll show you the difference between a technical support provider and a dedicated technology partner.
